Recent Notable Mentions

However, in 1859, on the place of the current spa resort; there was a Turkish hammam. It operated until the catastrophic earthquake in 1963. There is a commemorative plaque on the spot with the writing:

“A memento for the blessings this warm water possesses. May it be everlasting and beneficial for the generations to come. It flows from a stone mouth, blessed by Allah. Daut Pasha built a few buildings as well as a basin. After him, Hafs Pasha expanded the complex and then left it to the people in the society. He was very generous and inspired the writing on this house of water. This is a pure and beautiful spring. May it cleanse everyone who pays travel time and a visit.” 1898.
